Welcome to Inside Family Counseling, LLC
I specialize in psychoanalytic psychotherapy for children and adolescents with special needs and I apply psychoanalytic theory to modern day problems and issues. What this means is that in my practice, I will use the trusting relationship I build with you and/or your child to help you modify the way in which you relate to others and to improve the quality of your relationships. I am committed to providing a safe space for a long-lasting change, deeper understanding of oneself and an improved quality of life.
I am experienced in working with children, adolescents and adults, who struggle with a wide range of behavioral and emotional issues, from divorce and adoption to self-injurious behaviors, eating and mood disorders. If medication is necessary, we collaborate with a psychiatrist to ensure quality of care. In addition, I consult and work together with other mental health and educational professionals to best support your child or adolescents social and emotional needs at home and at school. My practice is based on ethics, professionalism and profound respect for the human condition.
If you have a challenging student, feel stuck in a treatment case or are concerned for one or several of your students, I also offer clinical case consultation on child and adolescent development for teachers, school counselors, social workers, educators and caregivers. My goal is to serve as an aid to professionals, who may not have the time or available resources to provide in-depth counseling or psycho-education to their students and families.
I would be delighted to get to know you and to offer my expertise in child and adolescent psychotherapy to you and your family!
